We are excited to announce Tanzania as one of the newest WorldTeach programs! The first group of volunteers arrived in country this past June.

Working in partnership with the Tanzanian Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MoEVT), WorldTeach volunteers will be teaching English, Math, and Science in Secondary Schools and Teachers' Colleges throughout the country and will work alongside local teachers.
The program departs in mid June 2011. Volunteers are in-country for approximately one year and must adhere to the time commitment. Volunteers receive a $200 stipend per month. All participants will take part in a month-long, in-country orientation prior to beginning their volunteering assigment.
Volunteers in Tanzania must be native English speakers with a Bachelor's degree in any subject and must be at least 18 years old and no older than 74 by the departure date. Successful volunteers will also demonstrate flexibility and a desire to teach in Tanzania.
