Over half of our WorldTeach alumni pursue grad school after returning home from their service.  Alumni go on to pursue advanced degrees in anything from international education to MBAs,  law to poetry,  Latin American Studies to organic chemistry, or international studies/development to medicine. WorldTeach offers various graduate school scholarships to contribute to continued study and learning.

Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS)

Alumni of WorldTeach are eligible for a $10,000 scholarship for a graduate degree program at the Middlebury Institute.

WorldTeach Scholarship Award

We recognize WorldTeach students and their commitment to service, language and cross-cultural communication as a valuable part of our campus community and global alumni network. WorldTeach alumni are guaranteed a $10,000 scholarship for a graduate degree program at the Middlebury Institute.

The Middlebury Institute offers Master’s degrees in International Business, International Policy Studies, International Environmental Policy, International Trade Policy, Translation and Interpretation, Teaching a Foreign Language, TESOL, and several other areas.

WorldTeach and The Middlebury Institute of International Studies (MIIS) have also collaborated to offer a Masters in TESOL/WorldTeach program. Applicants must apply separately to both MIIS and WorldTeach. Students would do a year of coursework at the Middlebury Institute before beginning their WorldTeach service. From there, they will receive a minimum scholarship of half of their tuition for their final semester(s). This innovative program will allow both a theoretical and practical experience for the student, only enhancing their opportunities in the field. For more information, click here

MPA@UNC is the online format of the top-ranked MPA from the University of North Carolina’s School of Government. This degree is designed for professionals seeking to advance their careers in public service while keeping commitments to their local communities. The top-ranked University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education offers online graduate degree programs designed to help aspiring teachers, experienced educators and organizational leaders achieve their goals. All WorldTeach alumni who are accepted and enroll in one of USC Rossier’s online graduate degree programs will be eligible for a $5,000 academic scholarship. The Family Institute of Northwestern University

Through Counseling@Northwestern, The Family Institute at Northwestern University offers online students across the country its pioneering fusion of education and dynamic clinical training previously available only to on-campus Master of Arts in Counseling students. Willamette University MBA for Business, Government and Not-for-Profit Management  Salem, Oregon

Willamette University’s full-time MBA program is designed for students seeking their first professional position or career change. As a national leader in experiential learning, the Willamette MBA emphasizes “learning by doing” through internships, consulting projects, case studies, simulations, student investment fund, and the PACE Projects (where teams of students serve as consultants and support the activities of selected not-for-profit and government enterprises). The program builds the knowledge, experience and career management tools students need for successful career transitions into business, government and not-for-profit organizations.

Benefits available to WorldTeach Alumni: Two-year admission and scholarship deferral for students who are admitted to Willamette’s Early Career and Career Change MBA program and choose to join WorldTeach. A scholarship of $5,000 will be awarded to WorldTeach volunteers and alumni admitted to and enrolled in Willamette University’s full-time MBA program within two years of completing WorldTeach; volunteers and alumni also receive special consideration for additional merit-based scholarship assistance up to full tuition.

School for International Training (SIT) Graduate Institute

SIT Graduate Institute and WorldTeach have partnered to provide financial assistance to WorldTeach alumni interested in pursuing a graduate degree at SIT. This partnership highlights the visions and values of both organizations integrating the power of knowledge and service in addressing global issues. SIT Graduate Institute offers internationally focused master’s degrees, certificates, and professional development programs in the fields of TESOL, international education, peace building and conflict transformation, and sustainable development. Teachers College, Columbia University

Teacher’s College at Columbia University is the largest and most comprehensive graduate and professional school of education in the United States. We offer over 100 degree programs in the fields of education, psychology, health, and policy. We are proud to offer application fee waivers for all WorldTeach alumni who complete applications for the 2016-17 academic year. Clark University l The International Development, Community, and Environment Department

The International Development, Community and Environment Department at Clark University offers forty percent tuition remission to accepted qualified WorldTeach alumni for its master’s degree programs in: International Development and Social Change, Geographic Information Sciences for Development and Environment, Community Development and Planning, and Environmental Science and Policy. Marlboro College – Greater Good Scholarship Award
new-logo-400-copy                                                                                                                                                                                                                            The $5000 Greater Good Award recognizes incoming graduate students who have demonstrated a commitment to community through national service. To qualify for this award, candidates must be able to demonstrate a minimum of one year of full-time service through a federal program. One year full-time shall be defined as 1500 hours of service completed within a 15-month window. Service must have been completed within the past five years.

Eligible service includes work with United States Armed Forces (including active reservists and veterans with honorable discharges); WorldTeach; Americorps or Vista; Peace Corps; or the Fulbright Program. Eligibility for the Greater Good Award is restricted to new students matriculating in a graduate degree at Marlboro College. To retain the award, students must enroll in 4 or more credits each trimester. Graduate certificate students are not eligible for the award.
